Interrested in astronomy, I decided to own materials to observe, and why not to start in astro photography : Saturn and Jupiter planets, Deep Sky (Nebulae, Galaxies, Clusters ...).
Today, with webcams, it's possible to obtain well detailed pictures, for a really low cost. To have similar results, it was before necessary to play with very expensive instruments and materials (powerful telescopes, high definition CCD ...).
Here is some of astro photos I made with a webcam. Pictures are far from perfection, but they are beautiful, well colored and detailed. Click on the "Photos" button to see pictures I have obtained with a telescope, a webcam and some patience.
